36TH ANNUAL FOUNTAIN BLUES FESTIVAL BY METRO
Plaza de Cesar Chavez
1 Paseo de San Antonio, San Jose

  • Noon to 8PM
  • Gates open at 11 AM.
  • All ticket holders will need to get their tickets scanned to obtain a wristband and have bags checked by security before entering the festival.
  • There WILL be “in and out” privileges, but we will need to re-check your bags upon reentering.
  • No pets, weapons and sharp objects allowed per City of San José ordinances.
  • Service dogs with proper identification permitted.
  • Picnic-style games and cool fountain for families to enjoy. Children 12 and under are free with paid adult
  • Low back, beach style chairs and blankets okay.
  • NOTE: VIP ticket holders will have a padded folding chair/seat in the shade provided by the festival (these are GA and not reserved).
  • Silicon Valley Bike Coalition is providing free bike valet services.

Outside Food and Alcohol Not Allowed

No coolers, outside food or alcoholic beverages allowed. Non-alcoholic beverages okay – but no glass bottles or aluminum cans. If you have dietary restrictions, we will allow special food in with a note from a physician or special card noting your situation.

  • Sunday, June 18, 2 – 5 PM.: Tebo’s Howlin’ Wolf Revue, San Pedro Square Market, 87 N. San Pedro Street, San Jose. FREE.
  • Monday, June 19, 7 – 10 PM: John Nemeth CD Release Party, The Studio at Poor House Bistro, 91 S. Autumn St., San Jose. Donations welcomed.
  • Tuesday, June 20, 7 – 10 PM: Aki’s Downtown Jam, Poor House Bistro. FREE.
  • Wednesday, June 21, 5 – 6 PM: Make Music Day: Fountain Blues Foundation board member Ned Kraft will lead free harmonica lessons. The first 75 lucky participants will receive a free harmonica, Arena Green West, across the street from SAP Centre, Downtown San Jose. FREE.
  • Wednesday, June 21, 8 PM: Matt Schofield with A.C. Myles and Terri Odabi, Club Fox, 2209 Broadway, Redwood City. Tickets:  $20 general admission / $35 VIP More info (link to http://www.clubfoxrwc.com/)
  • Thursday, June, 22, 6 – 9 PM: Big Blues Week Jam with special guests and hosted by Chef Ramon, Poor House Bistro, donations welcome.
  • Friday, June 23, 6 – 10 PM: Jerry Miller Band (founding member of Moby Grape) at Poor House Bistro, FREE.
  • Saturday, June 24, 9 PM – midnight: Post Fountain Blues Fest special event with Daniel Castro Band, The Studio at Poor House Bistro. FREE to Blues Festival attendees who show their Fest wristband, or $20 donation to Fountain Blues Foundation at the door.
  • Sunday, June 25, 5 PM – 7 PM: Wrap up Blues Week with The Ned Band at Poor House Bistro.
